RNDr. Pavla Hrubcová, Ph.D. působí od roku 2000 jako vědecký pracovník na Geofyzikálním ústavu AV ČR, kde se zabývá stavbou kůry a svrchního pláště, interpretací a modelováním seismických dat z aktivních a pasivních seismických experimentů, paprskovým modelováním a modelováním komplexního vlnového pole a rojovou a indukovanou seismicitou s důrazem na tektonické interpretace.
