Seismological station Stěbořice (STEB) was established in 2010. It is operated by the Institute of Geonics in the Nový Dvůr arboretum. Station STEB is equipped with a short-period seismometer Lennartz LE-3D which is suitable for recording of near mining induced events in the Upper Silesian basin and local tectonic earthquakes in North Moravia and Silesia. Digital data are transferred since 2013 in real time to the Institute of Geophysics in Prague. Station STEB is part of local seismic network MONET.
