Gregory Ruetenik studies the manifestations of deep Earth processes and climate through
surface process modelling.

Some key research interests are:

  • The Influence of dynamic topography and geodynamic processes on surface evolution.
Currently investigating the influence of dynamic topography and long-lived gravity anomalies in
central Australia on large-scale drainage reorganization.
  • Coupling sea level and surface process models. Currently investigating the role of sediment redistribution on sea level on active margins.
  • Topographic analysis using digital elevation models, and development of open source tools for
    tectonic geomorphology.
  • Optimization problems related to landscape evolution modelling.
